Answers to common questions

Everything you need to know about our mobile service area, preparing for a visit, and the health protocols I follow.

What areas do you travel to:

Tammy Ash serves the Kansas City metro area — licensed in both Missouri & Kansas. Based in Richmond, Missouri, so travel up to 1 hour & 10 minutes is included. Visits beyond that, up to 1 hour & 20 minutes, incur an additional fee. If you're unsure whether you fall within range, reach out and we'll confirm.

How do I prepare for a home visit?

Simply provide a clean, well-lit space with access to a power outlet and a comfortable chair. For hair services, a nearby sink is helpful but not required — we bring our own portable setup. We handle everything else.

What health & safety protocols do you follow?

All instruments are hospital-grade sterilized between every client. I use single-use gloves, and follow full clinical hygiene protocols. My medical nail care includes a health assessment before treatment begins.

Are your nail services safe for diabetics?

Yes. My medical pedicure and diabetic foot care are specifically designed for clients with diabetes, circulatory concerns, or sensitive feet. I use gentle, extra-careful techniques and assess nail and skin health before any treatment.

Do you offer nail enhancements or acrylics?

No. We focus exclusively on natural nail health and medical nail care. We don't apply acrylics, gel extensions, or other enhancements — our priority is the integrity and health of your natural nails. However, I do offer nail restoration which is a flexible layer to help your natural nail grow out safely, this is for an additional fee.

How long does a typical service take?

It depends on the service. A medical pedicure usually takes between 15-30 minutes, while haircuts can be 20-30 services can take up to 2 hours with multiple services added. We never rush — every visit is paced to your comfort, but please keep in mind you need to be ready upon my arrival as there is only a 10 min wait time to stay on track for my other clients.

Do I need to be home for the appointment?

Yes, an adult must be present for the duration of the visit if the client is immobile or has dementia/alzheimers or autism. For clients with limited mobility, we're happy to provide bedside or seated service wherever is most comfortable.

How do I book or ask more questions?

We don't use an online booking system. Simply call or text Tammy Ash at (816) 517-4673  — I'll talk through your needs and arrange a visit that works for you.
